Description

Keyboarding Learn the proper fingering for the keyboard.  You will increase your typing speed as you learn how to format term papers, footnotes, and bibliographies.  A must have skill for anyone enrolled in other computer classes.
Word Processing Excellent follow-up to Keyboarding.  Increase your typing speed while becoming more adept at formatting in-depth reports, bibliographies, tables, and letters.
Accounting 1 Emphasis on individual, partnership, and corporate accounting.  Computers will be used to learn how computerized integrated accounting systems function.  (H/CP, math credit)
Accounting 2 Primary emphasis is placed on the advanced principles of partnership and corporate accounting systems.  (H/CP)
Speedwriting Learn to write notes quickly using a system of note taking that is based entirely on the alphabet.
Personal and Business Law Law is exciting and informative as it relates to common, everyday experiences.  Learn your rights in a court of law, how contracts apply to teens and adults, as well as other topics.
Information Management Learn how to integrate word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and graphics applications as they apply to industry today.  Not for students who completed Computer Applications or Advanced Computer Applications.
Desktop Publishing Using PageMaker, learn how to produce professional looking documents such as advertisements, brochures, newsletters, and magazines.  Great for those pursuing a career in graphic design, desktop publishing, or journalism.
Computer Applications A hands-on approach to learning some of the most widely used computer software programs will help you be successful in meeting your personal computer needs.  Not for students who completed Information Management.
Advanced Computer Applications Expand your personal computer skills in word processing, database, and spreadsheet programs. Prerequisite is successful completion of Computer Applications.  Not for students who completed Information Management.
Computer Programming Introduction to the theory and applications of computer programming.  The class will stress flowcharting.  Programming techniques will introduce the HyperCard Scripting Language with an emphasis on recent development in object oriented programming.
Advanced Computer Programming This class continues the development of programming techniques into more advanced levels of HyperCard Scripting.  Project oriented, with other high level languages being sampled.  More advanced students will experience hex code notations and basic C and C++.
