STANFORD UNIVERSITY HIGH SCHOOL SUMMER COLLEGE

Current junior and seniors can apply.  Stanford credits are awarded for course in the areas of the sciences, humanities, arts and languages.  Partial scholarships are available.

DREXEL UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF MEDICINE MINI-MED SUMMER CAMP

A 5 week class from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. is being offered through Drexel University. Juniors and seniors interested in experiencing what 4 years of medical school would be like should apply. The activities will take place at Hahnemann University Hospital.

STATE POLICE YOUTH WEEK

Deadline is June 1, 2008.

 

Students will participate in various sessions including Local, State Police and Federal Law Enforcement Agencies.  The classes will be in vehicle and crime codes, forensic sciences, radar, riot control, and tactical drug operations.

Juniors who wish to have a better understanding of the academics, leadership, and physical service required for a professional career should apply.  Only students in the top 1/5 of the class will be eligible.

Summer, semester and year long exchange opportunities are available through Youth For Understanding. 36 countries are involved in this program with more than 300 scholarships are awarded. Students between the ages and 15-18 can participate.

Juniors can apply who meet the criteria for a one week summer session at Notre Dame.  High Academic achievement and community involvement are a must for those students who want to experience meeting students from across the country.

This six-week undergraduate program offers Boston University credit course or students can study scientific research under a faculty mentor.  A two-week program offers non- credit seminars with a choice of two topics.

Sophomores and juniors with a 3.0 GPA and a combined score on SAT’s of 1000 can apply for a summer session.  6-7 college credits can be earned in five weeks.   Day trip include NYC, Rehoboth, and tubing on the Brandywine River.

High school students interested in biological sciences can apply for this free program.   Only 24 students will be accepted with a recommendation from a teacher or counselor from their school.
