Ø      Gold and Blue Renaissance cards expire at the end of each semester and new cards are issued to students that meet the requirements of each card, therefore, the items and documentation must be updated and a new portfolio submitted each semester.

Ø      If students want to build their portfolios and add new material each semester, then sections need to be clearly dated. Example: Fall 2005, Spring 2006, Fall 2006, Spring 2007, etc...  Students can also choose to delete content selection and add new material each semester.

Ø      The portfolio can be organized into personal sections such as: school work samples, school or community activities, volunteer or charity work, awards/recognitions, workshops/instruction, other, etc...

Ø      The collection of items should be placed in a three-ring binder.  Sheet protectors (optional) can be purchased at Staples and used to give the portfolio a professional appearance and protect the papers as well.  The student’s name and grade need to be clearly visible on the front of the binder. Completed portfolios can be placed in a box in Mr. Speakman’s office by the required due date which will be noted in a student letter.
