Our School

Welcome to Wissahickon High School - home of the Trojans. Our school serves approximately 1,480 students in grades 9 to 12. WHS is an empowering academic community where all students are challenged to grow, learn, prosper, and realize their full personal, social, and intellectual potential, and to develop the life skills necessary to become respectful, responsible, and productive citizens of the global community.

In 2024, WHS was ranked among the top 4% of high schools in the nation and among the best in the state by U.S. News and World Report. WHS was ranked 687 out of 18,000 high schools in the nation,16th best in Pennsylvania and 3rd best in Montgomery County!

Fun Facts about WHS

As part of graduation festivities, seniors travel by bus to the elementary school they attended for a Victory Lap around the school. 

Did you know there are more than 290 extracurricular leadership positions at WHS and 86% of our students participate in athletics or a club?

At the end of each school year, all students participate in Wissapick'em - a day where they can choose from dozens of great activities like escape rooms, minute-to-win it, scavenger hunts and Jeopardy.
